Mosquitoes are the horrific pests that transmit hazardous virus or bacteria which cause diseases like West
Nile virus disease, Malaria, Dengue fever etc. To escape from this danger it is necessary to take better protection by cleaning the surrounding and avoiding the stagnant water where the
mosquitoes have their habitat. Do you know how the mosquitoes take in their life? Every mosquito mainly goes through four distinct stages of development during a lifetime. The four stages of
their life are egg, pupa, larva, and adult. In summer season they take less time to complete life from egg to adult that is about 7 to 10 days where as in some other case it takes much time to
complete the mosquito life cycle.
Water is the main thing in the life of mosquitoes as they normally find their abode in the water. They can live even in small space containing water. The adult mosquitoes lay the eggs in tide
water pools in salt marshes, sewage effluent ponds, irrigated pastures, rain water ponds, etc. Like any individual mosquitoes also have a life cycle. The first stage starts from the egg. Mainly
there are 4 types of mosquitoes Aedes, Anopheles, Culex, and Culiseta. In the case of Culex and Culiseta species, the eggs are stuck together in rafts of a hundred or more eggs while Anopheles
and Aedes species lay their eggs separately. Most often eggs get hatched in to larva within 48 hours. It is also known as "wigglers" or "wrigglers".
In the second stage that is the larva present in the water have to come to the surface to breathe using a breathing tube named siphon. It takes its prey from water such as algae and small
organism. During its development, it get molted 4 times. It is at the fourth molted stage the larva gets converted to pupa. The pupa is much lighter than water and breathes through two
tubes called trumpets. It does not eat and the metamorphosis of the mosquito into an adult is completed within the pupal case. The adult mosquitoes usually appear on the surface of water and lay
eggs in water and the process is continued as a chain and never stops and hence the destruction of whole mosquito world is very difficult.
Did you ever think why the female mosquitoes only bite? It is because in order to develop the egg the female mosquitoes need the proteins present in our blood. And also it is due to the bite the
viruses enter in to the human being and cause serious disease like Malaria, Dengue fever etc. To get away from all these dangers it is good to take protection as early as possible. By reading
this you might understand that the first thing you should do is avoid all the stagnant water around your home and keep the surrounding neat and clean as mosquitoes have their habitat in water.
Also choose a better natural repellent citronella oil, eucalyptus oil and Lavendula which is suggested by health experts. No need to search these oils as Skin Armour launched Skin Armour Deep
Wood Outdoor Soap by using all these oils.

Control of mosquitoes is something of utmost importance in the present day with rising number of mosquito borne
illnesses. Mosquitoes need to be exterminated using the right tools and with a little bit of effort. These blood thirsty beasts don’t care about boundaries and they can bite you if your
neighborhoods are allowing its breeding. So the mosquito control measures can be successful only if
public mosquito programs are designed. First and foremost thing that you have to do is to destroy the breeding areas of these mosquitoes. There are both chemical and non-chemical methods that can
be adopted for this purpose.
The non-chemical methods include emptying the stagnant water in rain gutters, old tires, buckets, plastic covers, etc. you must regularly change the water in bird baths, fountains, pools, rain
barrels etc at least once in a week. Protecting yourself with full sleeved clothing is also highly essential particularly during the dawn and dusk times. Repair your windows or door screens to
prevent mosquito entry. Sleeping under mosquito netting can also guarantee you protection from mosquitoes. It is also found that yellow light attracts mosquitoes less than white lights. Besides you
may also adopt biological methods by growing some fish species that feeds on mosquito larvae in the water bodies.
Adopting chemical methods for mosquito control is also extremely essential. There are pesticides namely larvicide’s that works to destroy the mosquito larva. Some of them include bacterial
insecticides like bacillus thuringiensis israelensis and bacillus sphaericus, insect growth inhibitors like methoprene, organophosphate insecticides like temephos and other materials like mineral
oils and monomolecular films. For the purpose of destroying adult mosquitoes particularly when there is an outbreak of mosquito borne illness pesticides namely adulticides can be used. Generally
they are sprayed either by aircraft or from the ground using truck mounted sprayers. Most commonly used adulticides are malathion, permethrin, resmethrin and sumithrin. As these insecticides are
sprayed as ultra low volume sprays with very low quantity sprayed on a large area, the risk posed due to these chemicals is very low.
Along with providing support to public mosquito control programs, you may also need to protect yourself from mosquito bites when you are in outdoors. There are large numbers of repellents available
today in variety of forms. There are chemical repellents like DEET and also many natural mosquito repellents. As DEET based repellents in high concentration can be harmful to children a better
option would be to try natural mosquito repellents. Skin armour deep woods soap from skin armour is one among the natural repellents which can protect you for long hours.
